1) How does the Auto Gear Shift work?
- The Auto Gear Shift (AGS) technology in Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has a Shift Control Actuator that’s operated by the transmission electronic controller unit. The setup ensures synchronized operation of clutch and gear shifts without any manual intervention.
2) Does the AGS work well in case of sudden acceleration?
- The Kick-Down Function lowers the gears automatically as per the driver’s inputs to provide the acceleration needed.
3) How fuel-efficient is the Alto K10 AGS?
- AGS technology combines the convenience of an automatic transmission with the fuel efficiency of a manual gearbox. That is why the Alto K10 AGS delivers optimum fuel efficiency that is similar to the one delivered by the manual variants of the car.
